A mystery

Chris Shaffer is a name that came to her in a dream. Found in the great Southern California desert near National City, Chris was near death. When her long three months’ coma ended, she found she didn’t know who she was, where she was or why. Chris’ attempts to rebuild her life – from birth date to name to occupation – are complicated by an assailant from her unknown past who has decided it is better to kill Chris than take the chance she’ll regain her memory.
The story follows a young woman’s valiant efforts to resume a normal life when she has no idea what normal is. She is befriended by a nurse who cared for her during her long stay in the hospital. The two of them experience some rather terrifying situations before the book ends.
